In this keynote, David will explain how people professionals and business leaders are co-creating a workplace culture which engenders justice, fairness, kindness, inclusion, sustainability, and high performance.
David will set out his Transformational Culture Model and he will explain how it provides a blueprint for a purpose driven, values based and person-centred culture – a transformational culture. He will explore the role of the culture hub and the 8 enablers of a transformational culture. He will also describe a new set of capabilities required by people professionals and business leaders, if they are going to create the successful organisation of the future.
During his keynote, David will also set out his visionary People and Culture Operating Model. Probably one of the biggest rethinks of the way we do HR in a generation, this new operating model provides providing a basis for HR and leaders to co-create a workplace culture where our people thrive, our teams perform and our organisations flourish. He will also suggest that, as HR transforms into a modern people and culture function, it is becoming one of the most strategically important functions in our organisations.
David will also shine a light on the traditional toxic, destructive and reductive HR processes and management systems (think discipline, grievance, bullying, performance and whistleblowing policies). Created using retribution as the primary justice paradigm (blame, shame, punish, destroy), these HR policies and management systems, he will argue, damage our people, destroy relationships, divide teams and undermine our organisations. Drawing on two powerful case studies from the BBC and Next PLC, David will explain how transformative justice works and he will set out his groundbreaking Resolution Framework – a new kind of policy which brings transformative justice to life. He will explain how it works, why it works and the many benefits it delivers. As a fully integrated people policy or IPP (a term which David has coined), he will explain how transformative justice and his Resolution Framework can be used to resolve serious and complex concerns, complaints and conflict at work.
